Deputy Dustin Moffett took a theft report from the owner of Oak Ridge Marina at Lake Fork. Moffett collected items of evidentiary value and the case was turned over to investigators who were able to identify the two suspects after a Facebook tip lead them to a residence at Holiday Villages. Interviews with the two suspects resulted in full confessions and the stolen property was recovered and returned to Oak Ridge Marina. Hunter Kyle Evans, 20, and Sumner Evans, 23, both of Dallas were booked into jail. Both face a charge of theft of property, $750 or more but less than $2,500. Hunter Evans was also arrested on a DPS warrant for speeding, 85/70. Deputy Jeremy Ragsdale was dispatched to CR 4116 in reference to a burglary of a building. The complainant advised that a John Deere lawn tractor, a Stihl trimmer and three 2 ½ gallon gas cans were taken from a building on his property. The value of the missing items is listed as $2,675. Investigators continue to work to develop leads in this case. The complainant advised that he had been gone from his residence for the past three weeks and returned home to find his home had been broken into. The man stated he believes his ex-girlfriend broke into the home and took not only her property but items that belonged to him as well.
