NEW HARTFORD -- George Thomas Clark, 88, of New Hartford, died Sunday, Jan. 3, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo. 10, 1927, in Oelwein, son of George L. and Julia Robinson Clark. George graduated from Stanley High School, Stanley, in 1945. He attended Upper Iowa University until he joined the U. S. Army where he was a stenographer stationed in San Francisco. He worked at John Deere and Chamberlain Manufacturing before becoming owner and operator of Waterloo Wood Bearing Co. from 1970, until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of Elks Lodge in Waterloo, and Black Hawk Lodge 65 A. F. &A. M. and... Survived by: two daughters, Susan (Richard) Meyer of New Hartford and Elizabeth (Alan) Larson of Cedar Falls. and a special friend, Dorothy J. Brown of Cedar Falls. Services: 1 p. m. Thursday, Jan. 7, at First Presbyterian Church, Cedar Falls. Military honors will be provided by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Visitation from 4 to 7 p. m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls, with a 7 p. m. public Masonic service. Memorials: may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or to the family for later designation.
